Christian County won a pair of matches over the weekend and advanced to the championship of their flight at the Bluegrass State Volleyball Games in Lexington.
Christian County went 0-2 in pool play action Friday with losses to Floyd Central (21-7, 21-18) and Ballard (21-9, 21-13). On Saturday, the Lady Colonels beat Paul Blazer (21-12, 21-14) and lost to Spencer County (21-11, 21-18) and Washington County (21-16, 21-16).
In the championship flight, the Lady Colonels beat Rowan County 21-16, 21-16 before falling to Eighth District rival University Heights 21-19, 21-17 in the championship.
Christian County opens their season Friday at Franklin-Simpson.
