Trigg County’s Caleb Federspiel shot a 1-under 35 to take medalist honors in a triangular golf match Monday at Western Hills Golf Course in Hopkinsville.
Federspiel’s low score helped the Wildcats (163) beat Hopkinsville by 13 shots and Christian County by 28 shots. The Wildcat senior beat teammate Hunter Reynolds and Hopkinsville’s James Folz and Evan Pyle by five shots.
Grayson Thomas added a 41 for Trigg County, and Darrin Goodwin carded a 47 over nine holes. In a golf throwback, Alex Ethridge played from the men’s tees and shot a 47 for Trigg County.
Will Binkley and Joey Falco both shot a 48 for Hopkinsville to finish behind Folz and Pyle.
Houston George led the Colonels with a 42, followed by Micah Smith (43), Ethan White (51), and Chase Dawson (55).
Christian County will host their Colonel Invitational Tuesday at Western Hills Golf Course.
