Christian County’s defense played strong over the weekend at the Bluegrass State Games in Lexington. The Colonels, who were 5-14-3 last year, dropped their opener to Meade County (9-13) Saturday 4-1. They responded with a 1-1 tie with Fairdale (5-10-2) Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday, the Colonels forced a 1-1 tie with St. Henry, who finished 14-8-1 last year. The Colonel defense allowed just six goals in three games, but will need to find some offense going forward, scoring just three goals in three games.
