Emma Talley is three shots off the lead heading into the final round of the LPGA Marathon Classic in Sylvania, Ohio. Talley shot a 1-under 70 Saturday and remains within striking distance of gaining her first LPGA Tour win.
Canadian Brooke Henderson leads the event at 11-under with Americans Angela Stanford and Brittany Lincicome one shot back. Talley is in an 11-way tie at 8-under.
Talley pared her first six holes but appeared to gain some momentum on the back nine with birdies on three of her first seven holes, including a birdie putt from just off the green on No. 17. However, she gave the shot back with a birdie on No. 18.
Talley struggled off the tee, hitting just 10 of 14 fairways although her driving distance was the best of the three rounds.
She will tee off at 11:50 Sunday and will be paired with Korean In Gee Chun, who was in her playing party the first two rounds.
