Emma Talley put together another strong round and sits tied for third after the second round of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in Onedia, Wisconsin.
The Princeton golfer shot a 4-under 68 and is tied with four other golfers at 11-under. They are chasing Sei Young Kim, who leads at 16-under.
Talley, who had six straight birdies in the first round, finished strong in the second round. She birdied four of the first seven holes on the second nine and had a share of the lead at 12-under before bogeying her final hole.
She was consistent off the tee, hitting 13 of 14 fairways, and stayed out of the bunkers in the round.
Talley will be paired with her friend and former Curtis Cup teammate Mariah Stackhouse in Saturday’s third round. They will begin play at 3:10pm.
