Ramie Colson, Jr. notched his second-best finish of the season on the FLW Tour Saturday with a 28th place finish at Lake St. Clair, Michigan.
Colson caught the five-bass limit in each of the three rounds to finish with 56-pounds and six-ounces. He missed advancing to Sunday’s final round by six pounds. His best day was Friday when he hauled in a bag weighing 21-pounds, 6-ounces.
The Cadiz angler brought home $10,000 for his weekend on the water and moved to 84th in the FLW point standings.
In the co-angler division, Ramie’s son Douglas caught 32-pounds, 12-ounces to finish 51st and win $700. It was the fourth time in seven tournaments that Douglas has finished in the money. He finishes the FLW Tour season 37th in points. He still has events left on the FLW Costa Series.
