Another solid day Wednesday for a Christian County Lady Colonel as her summer softball team picked up two impressive wins in Colorado. Tenley Gilbert, a sophomore to be for the Lady Colonels, helped lead the Louisville Lady Sluggers Sluggers 14U team to their 3rd and 4th straight wins in the Colorado event.
The Sluggers 14U team cruised in their opening game of the day. The Sluggers put a 10 spot on the board in the 3rd inning on their way to a 12-0 three inning win. Tenley Gilbert went 1-2 in the game with a run scored and an RBI.
The Sluggers returned to action again early Wedneday afternoon. Again, no trouble, as they rolled to an 11-3 win over the Oklahoma Angels. Gilbert had a bit tougher game at the plate in this one, going 0-4.
So far in the Colorado event, the Lady Sluggers Sluggers 14U are 3-0-1.
