Former UHA golfer Anna Moore is now the two time Kentucky State Women’s Amateur champion. Moore defended her title by winning her championship match over Marshall County High School grad Cayce Hendrickson Wednesday afternoon. Moore won her championship match by the score of 1 up.
Earlier in the day, Moore advanced to the championship match by defeating Kaitlyn Riley. Moore took the match on a score of 2 up.
After receiving a first round bye, Anna Moore won two matches Tuesday at the 2018 Kentucky State Women’s Amateur Championship. In her opening match of the day Tuesday, Moore defeated incoming Murray State freshman Payton Carter. Moore took the match by a score of 2 & 1.
Moore then took to the course later in the afternoon for a quarterfinal round match. In that round, Moore defeated Molly Bebelaar 5 & 4.
Over the last three years, Moore has won the title in 2018, 2017, and finished 3rd in 2016.
The Kentucky State Women’s Amateur Championship was played at the Elizabethtown Country Club.
