
A couple of area baseball players had solid days Thursday as the Kentucky Prospects 17U team defeated the Clarksville Orioles 6-1. The Prospects were playing in the O’s Classic at Trevecca Nazarene, in Nashville.
The Prospects 17U team scored in four of its six at bats to pick up the win. They tallied two in the first, one in the second, one in the 5th, and 2 more in the 6th.
UHA’s Drew McGowan was 1-2, with a walk and two runs scored. Christian County’s Lane Diuguid was 1-1 with a double. Trigg County’s Riley Stallons was 0-1 with a walk.
Diuguid started the contest on the mound, going 2 1/3 innings, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out three and walking only one.
