Christian County basketball standout Laderia Gold will sign Monday to continue her academic and athletic career at Southwestern Illinois College.
Gold was an All-Region and All-District performer her senior season in helping lead the Lady Colonels to the Eighth District title and appearance in the Second Region championship game in 2017-18.
Gold averaged 10.4 points and led the Lady Colonels with 68 three-pointers made. She was also among the Second Region leaders in free throw percentage at 84.6-percent.
Southwestern Illinois College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference.
Gold will sign Monday at 1:30 at Christian County High School.
