Coming off a 37-win season and the school’s first region title in six years, Christian County had three players named to the Class 3A All-State Softball Team as voted by the Kentucky Softball Coaches Association.
Senior Lexie O’Daniel and junior Emmy Blane were named First Team All-State, while junior Tyler Shemwell was named Second Team All-State.
O’Daniel, a senior, hit .392 with 13 home runs and 46 RBIs. In the circle, she was 15-2 with a 2.03 ERA and 132 strikeouts in 96 innings.
Blane, a University of Kentucky commit, batted .394 with 16 homers and 64 RBIs.
Shemwell, who has committed to Murray State, hit .405 with 12 homers and 53 RBIs. She had the game-winning hits in both the Second Region title game and the state tournament first round win.
Madisonville’s Lexi Miller was also named to the Class 3A All-State Second Team.
