A second Fort Campbell student has been selected to represent Kentucky at the 2018 National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) National Student Leadership Summit (NSLS). Misty Thompson will attend the fully-funded three-day summit that focuses on relevant and contemporary issues in high school athletics.
Thompson applied to NSLS because she wanted to represent her school and her state by offering fresh ideas for athletic programs and increase her leadership skills.
Misty is a FCHS cheerleader and is on the track team, participating in pole vaulting. Her ultimate goal is to attend a four-year university and become an astrophysicist.
She will join Kaitlyn Cervantes from Fort Campbell in attending the summit July 23-25 in Indianapolis.
