A big honor for a former member of the Madisonville Lady Maroons softball team. The National Fastpitch Coaches Assoication announced their All-American teams Wednesday, with Alabama freshman Kaylee Tow being named to the 2nd Team All-America.
According to Rolltide.Com, the former Lady Maroon, and member of Madisonville’s 2017 state championship team, is the 11th player in program history to earn NFCA All-America accolades as a freshman and the first since 2015.
Tow started 55 of the team’s 56 games this season, leading the team with 35 runs and 49 hits, with a .327 batting average. She was second on the team with seven doubles, 11 home runs, 31 RBIs and 35 walks.
