Caldwell County Coach Bradley Stallins felt good about the start of the Tigers’ region tourney game with Union County Monday until a seven-run fifth inning by the Braves decided it. He said he opted to not pitch their ace Shane Burns because he didn’t want to bring him back on three days rest after he threw 117 pitches in the district title game. Burns is one of several seniors that won 101 games in four seasons in addition to two region titles.
