The Fort Campbell softball team ended its regular season with a pair of losses to visiting Owensboro High School on Saturday. The Lady Falcons lost 16-0 and 17-0 to fall to 1-28 on the year. Owensboro snaps a three-game losing streak and enters postseason play at 10-21 overall.
Lizette Ceja took both losses for the Lady Falcons, with Marlee Spain and Hadley Hughes the winning pitchers for the Lady Devils. The Lady Falcons failed to get a hit in the first game, but Emma Kaack, Paige Baxter and Suraiya Thompson each hit safely in the second contest.
The Lady Falcons enter the 8th District tournament as the four seed, facing top-seeded Christian County on Monday. The Lady Colonels claimed both regular season meetings.
