The Hoptown Hoppers announced the name of their mascot Friday at a public gathering at the Hopkinsville Brewing Company. The baseball-headed mascot will be named ‘Stitches’ and will be a fixture at Hopper home games and team events.
In addition to the mascot name, Stitches showed off the new home jerseys the Hoppers will wear in 2018.
In association with the big night, Hopkinsville Brewing Company rolled out a new craft beer called ‘Stitches Hibiscus’.
Holiday Burgers had their new food truck at the event and showed off their burger creation called the Hopper Burger that is made with pimento cheese and an onion ring.
The Hoppers open the 2018 season May 31 at Fulton. Their home opener is June 2 against Madisonville.
