A 7-run sixth inning doomed the Todd County Central Rebels at Warren Central on Tuesday night, sending them to a 15-5 six-inning loss. The Dragons have won two of three to improve to 6-16, while the Rebels fall to 4-19 overall.
Nate Reding and Nick Tutor had RBI singles in the top of the second to give the Rebels a 4-3 lead, but trailed 7-5 in the middle of the fourth. The Rebels were still within 3 runs going into the bottom of the sixth, but the Dragons erupted for 7 runs to end the game.
Dylan Hurt was on the losing end for the Rebels, lasting 2.2 innings while surrendering 7 runs on eight hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Bryce Nolan worked 3.0 innings in relief, yielding 6 runs on five hits with a couple of strikeouts and five walks.
Tutor was 2-4 with an RBI, Reding knocked-in a run, and Tanner Farmer had the Rebels’ other hit.
Noah Thomas earned the win for Warren Central, pitching 5.1 innings while allowing 5 unearned runs on three hits with five strikeouts and four walks. Peyton Eversole had a hit and 3 RBI for the Dragons.
Todd County will close-out its regular-season schedule on Thursday, going on the road to face the 16-13 Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons.
