The Todd County Central softball team lost both games of a road doubleheader at Glasgow on Saturday, with a comeback falling just short in a 13-12 loss in the opener and an 8-2 setback in the second game.  The losses drop the Lady Rebels to 8-11 on the year, while the Lady Scotties improve to 13-10.

In the first game, Glasgow did its damage early on the way to a 13-5 lead after four innings.  The Lady Rebels stormed back with 4 in the sixth and 3 in the seventh, coming up a run short at 13-12.

Maddie Williams took the loss for Todd County, with the Lady Scotties’ Taylor Murphy claiming the win.  Williams, Paige Rager, Emma Harris and Jordon Weathers each drove-in 2 runs for the Lady Rebels, with Michaela Robertson and Whitney Higgins collecting a couple of hits and an RBI each.  Samantha Case was the only Lady Rebel with three hits, also driving in a run.  Rachel Bilyeu hit safely twice.

Murphy and Autumn Copass each had two hits and 3 RBI to pace Glasgow.

Todd County struggled to generate offense in the second game, with Higgins and Rager driving-in the only 2 runs.  The Lady Scotties got to pitchers Maddie Williams and Haylee Vass for 8 runs on only seven hits, including a 3-run homer by Amanda Lee.

Robertson had two hits to lead the Lady Rebels, followed by Weathers, Harris, Higgins, Vass and Williams with a hit each.

The Lady Rebels are scheduled to make the trip to Hopkinsville on Tuesday to face the 6-20 Lady Tigers.
