Elijah Owens capped off the scoring by driving in two runs with a base hit to left field, giving the Colonels a 4-1 lead after one.

UHA got two of the runs back in the top of the 2nd. Drew McGowan hit an RBI double and then later scored on a pitch that got away from the catcher.

Christian County got an unearned run in the bottom of the second to make it 5-3. The Colonels then put the game away with five runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Christian County took advantage of four walks in the inning. The big hit came from Wyatt Stevenson, who drove in two runs on a hit to right field.
