Hilltopper Basketball finished the 2017-18 season with 27 wins, its most in 10 seasons and the most this year from a Division I program in the state of Kentucky. WKU made a postseason run to the NIT Final Four in New York City under second-year head coach Rick Stansbury and finished the year with a 4-2 record against teams from the Power 5 Conferences. The Hilltoppers sold out the final four Saturdays of the regular season and tallied three over-capacity crowds during that span.
The Lady Toppers are coming off a 24-9 season and their second straight C-USA Tournament championship. WKU has won 154 games over the last six seasons, the most among all C-USA schools in that span, and will be led by new head coach Greg Collins in 2018-19. As the lead assistant for the last six years, Collins has been instrumental in the Lady Toppers’ success that includes four NCAA Tournament appearances, and he will look to guide WKU to its seventh straight 20-win season in his first year at the helm of the program.
