Keaton Bridges and Corey Cisell combined on a two-hit shutout, and Max Wadlington drove in three runs with three hits to help Lyon County beat Webster County 10-0 Monday in Dixon. The shutout was Lyon County’s first of the season.
Bridges pitched the first three innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five. Cissell didn’t allow a hit and struck out three over the final two innings.
The Lyons scored four runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to pick up the mercy rule win. Wadlington had a double as part of his three-hit night, and Brody Bridges and Jack Walker added doubles.
Gunnar Bingham added a single and triple, and Jake Kleuppel had two hits. Gabe Board chipped in with his fourth home run of the season as part of their 13-hit night.
Lyon County (9-9) will travel to Hickman County Thursday.
