Dawson Springs swept a doubleheader from Todd County Central Monday and sent the Rebels to their fourth straight loss.
The Panthers scored three runs in the final two innings to win the opener 3-1. Kevin Brooks and Talon Moore each had two hits for Dawson Springs. Dylan Dawson limited the Rebels to two hits in the contest.
Todd County scored their lone run in the second inning when Pedro Gonzalez scored McKinley Griggs on a groundout.
Nick Tudor gave up eight hits and three earned runs while striking out three on the mound for the Rebels. Tudor and Dylan Hurt had the Rebel hits.
Todd County was again held to two hits in the nightcap, however, Dawson Springs responded with 12 runs in a 12-1 win. The Panthers took control with 10 runs in the first two innings.
Dylan Hurt doubled, and McKinley Griggs singled him home for Todd County’s lone run in the second inning.
Todd County Central (3-16) will travel to Logan County for a 13th District contest Tuesday before running home Thursday to play Caverna.
