Lyon County pitcher Allye Culp faced the minimum number of batters possible, and through only 49 pitches in a three inning perfect game against the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers Tuesday afternoon. Lyon County used an 11 run 2nd inning to roll past the Lady Tigers 15-0.
Lyon County opened quickly, scoring four runs in the top of the 1st inning. The big hit in the inning was a two run RBI single off the bat of Kerstin Craft.
The Lady Lyons blew the game open in the top of the second inning, when they scored 11 runs. Six of the runs were scored after there were two outs. The main part of the scoring was done when the Lady Lyons strung together four straight singles to drive in the last six runs of the inning.
Kaelyn Conger was 3-3 with three RBIs. Calista Colins was 2-3 with 2 RBIs. And, Kerstin Craft was 1-3 in the game with three RBIs.
In addition to the perfect three innings, Culp struck out six and walked none in picking up the win for the Lady Lyons.
