Hoptown’s McSwain Claims Another 400-Meter Title

Jayla McSwain continued her mastery in the 400-meters with another win, while Keion Brown scored a second-place finish in the 400-meters at the Swift and Staley Midwest Challenge Saturday in Paducah.

Here are the top 20 finishers for Hopkinsville in the event.

Keion Brown finished second in the 400-meter run (50.40)
Chase Atkins was fourth in the 3200-meter run (10:21.83) and 15th in the 1600-meter run
JeVon Leavell finished seventh in the 100-meter dash (11.57) and 15th in the 200-meter dash (24.09)
Cameron Bussell was seventh in the 400-meter dash (54.48)
Josh Mallory was 11th in the discus throw (102-00) and 18th in the shot put (31-05)
Kyren Palmer was 14th in the triple jump (34-00) and 19th in the long jump (16-11)
Zahnte Brown was 15th in the 110-meter hurdles (19.05) and 18th in the 300-meter hurdles (48.57)
Mitchell Degenhardt was 18th in the 200-meter dash (24.32)

Allison Wood was 10th in the 1600-meter run (6:00.63) and 15th in the 800-meter run (2:46.09)
