Freshman Kaelyn Conger threw a no-hitter to lead the Lyon County Lady Lyons to victory in their second game of the day at the Trigg County Lady Cat Invitational. The Lady Lyons also put runs on the board in cruising to the 7-0 win over Stewart County.
Conger was spectacular in her six innings, striking out six, while walking only one. The Lady Lyons allowed one runner to reach base on an error.
Meanwhile, the Lady Lyons scored three in the first, one in the third, and three more in the bottom of the 5th inning in picking up their second win of the day in the invitational.
Calista Collins continued her hitting tear, going 1-2 with a home run and two RBIs. In addition to throwing the no hitter, Conger was 2-2 in the game and scored three runs.
