The Christian County Lady Colonels went on the road Thursday and rolled to their 7th straight win. The Lady Colonels scored in every at bat of a five inning 16-0 win over Calloway County.
Christian County got the bats out early, scoring three runs in the top of the 1st inning. The big hits in the inning were from Emmy Blane, who had an RBI double, and Tyler Shemwell, who drove in two runs with a double of her own.
The Lady Colonels extended the lead with four more runs in the top of the second inning to make it 7-0. They added three runs in the top of the third to extend the lead to 10-0.
In the top of the 4th inning, Christian County added another three spots to push the lead out to 13-0. The Lady Colonels then closed out their offensive onslaught with three more runs in the top of the 5th inning for the final margin. The damage in the 5th inning came in the form of a three run homer from Reni Shemwell.
Reni Shemwell was 2-4 with the home run and 3 RBIs. Emmy Blane was 3-4 with 3 RBIs. Tyler Shemwell had another good game for the Lady Colonels, going 2-3 with 3 RBI’s.
In the circle, Lexie O’Daniel went three innings, giving up no runs, no hits, and striking out four. Regan Hancock pitched two innings, giving up no runs, two hits, and striking out one
