CBS Sports is reporting that Kentucky guard Hamidou Diallo will enter the NBA Draft and is expected to sign with an agent.
Diallo averaged 10 points and 3.6 rebounds during an up-and-down freshman season for the Wildcats. He enrolled during the spring semester at UK and practiced with last year’s team, even dipping his toe into the NBA Draft pool last year before opting to return to Kentucky and play.
Diallo’s breakout game was his 22-point performance against Buffalo in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Most experts predict Diallo could go in the early to middle Second Round of the draft.
Diallo joins Kevin Knox and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in opting for the NBA Draft and hiring an agent, which means they can not return to college and play basketball.
In addition, a pair of players who rarely saw the floor for UK – Tai Winyard and Dillion Pulliam – have announced they are transferring.
