Trigg County took advantage of 16 walks and six Russellville errors to pummel the Panthers 21-1 Monday in Russellville. The 21 runs and 20-run margin of victory are both the most for a Wildcat team in five years.

Trigg scored six runs in the first inning on a Trevor Cortner single, three walks and three errors.

For the game, Cortner had two hits, and Hayden Cunningham had two hits and three RBIs. Jake Terrell and Riley Stallons each drove in a pair of runs for Trigg.

The Wildcats put up a 12-spot in the sixth inning as Colton Sumner and Jacob Kent managed RBI singles around seven walks by Panther pitchers in the inning.

Stallons picked up the pitching win in his first start of the season. He allowed four hits and one earned run while striking out six and walking four.

The 21 runs are the most scored by Trigg County since a 21-2 win over Dawson Springs in 2013. The 21-run margin of victory is the most since a 21-0 win over Fort Campbell the same season.

Trigg County (4-2) will host Christian County Tuesday at the Complex.
