After picking up their first win of the season earlier Thursday evening by rolling past Fort Campbell, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers had their struggles in the second game of the night, falling to Crittenden County 20-0.
Crittenden County, who led 8-0 after three innings, sealed the win by scoring 12 runs in the top of the 5th inning at Hopkinsville High School.
Hopkinsville hitters, who banged out 18 hits in the win over Fort Campbell, could manage only five hits over five innings in the loss to Crittenden County. Lauren Hodge went 2-3 for Hopkinsville. Marley Hancock, Shelby Harbour, and Sabrina Hodge had the rest of the hits for the Lady Tigers.
Lauren Hodge and Marley Hancock split time in the circle for Hopkinsville. The pair was roughed up for 20 runs on a total of 15 hits in the contest.
The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 1-4 on the season.
