It’s been a tough season for Trigg County archery senior Kaylin Smith, but she has handled it like a pro and has been the top Arrowcat shooter for most of the season.

In addition to the normal distractions being a senior brings, Kaylin has dealt with a cancer diagnosis of her father Todd, who has also doubled as her archery coach.

She has still managed to be Trigg’s stop shooter at nearly every tournament she has competed in with scores consistently around 290.

Kaylin and the rest of the Arrowcats will be shooting in the KHSAA Region I Archery Meet Saturday at Henderson County High School.  For the first time, the KHSAA is splitting archery into gender for team competitions at the region and state level.
