A chance to head off to the Big Apple is on the line Wednesday night for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. WKU will try to win three games in the NIT for the first time ever, and in any postseason tournament for the first time since 1971, when it visits second-seeded Oklahoma State in the quarterfinals at 7pm Wednesday in Stillwater.
The Hilltoppers advanced by knocking off top-seeded USC 79-75 on the road Monday.
Oklahoma State beat Stanford 71-65 at home Monday to advance. The fourth-seeded Hilltoppers and head coach Rick Stansbury have each never faced the Cowboys before.
