
The Murray State Racers women’s tennis team won their third match in a row as they defeated the Bradley University Braves 6-1 in Peoria, Ill. The Racers advance to 7-6 overall while Bradley drops to 3-10 on the year. This is just the second road victory of the year for the Racers, with the first coming in a contested match at Arkansas State.
For one of the few times this year, all three doubles matches were played, as Murray State swept doubles play 3-0. Claire Chang and Jeanne Masson won 6-5, Amina Hadzic and Anja Loncarevic won 6-4 while Sara Loncarevic and Stasya Sharapova won 6-2.
Murray State continued their dominant play as they moved to singles, winning five of six.
Chang won in two sets 6-4 and 6-3 for her third straight win and moves to 15-6 overall.
Sharapova came away with a win in two sets for her fifth on the year, winning 7-6 and 6-4.
Hadzic pushed her winning streak to eight straight, as she won in two sets 6-0 and 6-4.
Sara Loncarevic won in three sets for her seventh win of the season. After losing the first set 3-6, she came back and won 6-3 and 10-8.
Masson secured her ninth win with a two-set victory, as she won 6-3 and 6-2.
