Hopkinsville track standout Meghan Easton has committed to continue her athletic and academic career at Murray State University. Easton made the announcement on her Twitter account recently.
Easton has posted four consecutive top five finishes in the region in the 1600 meters. She finished third as a sophomore, fourth as a freshman, and was fifth as an eighth grader. Her best finish at the state meet was a 16th place finish last year as a junior.
She was a member of the 3200-meter relay team that finished second at region and eighth at state. Easton and the 3200-meter team finished second at the state meet both her freshman and sophomore years.
Easton, who has also qualified for the state cross country meet five times, said she will likely look at running the mile, 800-meters, or distance relay at Murray State.
