Offensive struggles in the second half were the undoing Thursday night for the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers. South Warren held the Lady Tigers to under ten points in both the 3rd and 4th quarters on their way to a 74-44 win at Tiger Gym.

Hopkinsville battled the Lady Trojans throughout the first quarter. With a balanced scoring effort, the Lady Tigers trailed only 18-15 after one. South Warren’s offense began to crank it up a bit more in the 2nd quarter, as the Lady Trojans extended their lead to 39-28 at the half.

The game then got away from Hopkinsville as they could only muster 8 points in the third quarter and eight more in the fourth as the Lady Trojans pulled away for the 30 point win.

Yogi McKnight and London Foster were the leading scorers for Hopkinsville with 11 point each. Breon Oldham added 10. South Warren was led by Natalie Pierce with 21 points and Faith Martin with 14.

Hopkinsville drops to 18-9, while South Warren improves to 27-3.
