Christian County football Coach Steve Lovelace wanted Shamar Foster to be more vocal on the field when playing defense. The Colonel linebacker let his play do the talking and was able to sign his letter to continue his career at Kentucky Wesleyan College Wednesday.
Foster was twice named All Western Kentucky Conference and earned All-State Honorable Mention this year. He was also named to the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star football team that beat the Louisville all-stars in December.
Foster had 118 tackles during his senior season that included 15 tackles for loss. He also recovered two fumbles and returned them both for scores.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Foster could contribute immediately to a Panther squad that was 2-8 last year.
