The dates have officially been set for the first ever Kentucky 2A Boys and Girls State Tournaments. In an announcement Tuesday morning, the Kentucky 2A Championships announced the dates for the first tournament will be January 17-20, 2019.
In a news release, the organization states they are looking at venue possibilities, sponsorship opportunities, and other logistical details connected to the events.
The 2A tournament will be for schools above the size schools the qualify for the All A Classic, up to enrollments of 1,000 students.
The Kentucky 2A Championship Board of Directors met Wednesday in Elizabethtown.
