Emma Talley makes her debut as an LPGA professional today at the Pure Silk-LPGA Bahamas Classic at the Paradise Island course. The Princeton native is in the eighth group to tee off on the front nine. She will be playing with Mariah Stackhouse and Morgan Pressel.
Talley and Stackhouse, who was an All-American at Stanford, were teammates on the 2014 U.S. Curtis Cup Team that defeated Europe 13-7. Stackhouse is in her second season on the LPGA Tour and had one top ten finish last year.
Pressel is a 12-year LPGA veteran with two career wins and over $7 million in earnings.
Talley arrived in the Bahamas Sunday and played in a mini tournament in Florida prior to heading to the islands for her debut.
Talley qualified for the LPGA Tour by finishing in the Symetra Tour’s top ten last year. All four rounds of the event will be televised on the Golf Channel.
