Blazers #1 Again in YSE Boys 2nd Region Rankings

uha-1

A day late this week with the All A Classic going on. UHA holds at the top, but the big question right now in the region could be just how good is Hopkinsville now that everybody is back. The next couple of weeks should tell a great deal.

1. UHA (13-4) – The Blazers are now up to 8 wins in a row. Hard to move them out of the top spot when they are playing like that.

2. Christian County (10-5) – No games during the past week.

3. Madisonville (14-6) – A road win at Lyon County and then a loss on the road at Owensboro. Plenty of teams will drop that game on the road to the Red Devils.

4. Hopkinsville (8-10) – Everybody’s back, and they have nice wins over Ohio County and Graves County. May be the last week they are ranked this low.

5. Henderson County (8-8) – This is just not your typical Henderson team. Looked like world beaters against Webster, then struggled against Union and lost to Daviess County.

6. Webster County (12-7) – The Trojans are really struggling at the moment. Lost three in a row and got clocked at Todd County Central.

7. Livingston Central (14-9) – Three wins and a loss to the #1 ranked team in the region, that will move you up a little bit in the region, especially with one of the teams you beat previously being ranked ahead of you.

8. Hopkins Central (11-7) – The Storm have won five in a row. The question right now with this team is how much the winning streak is a product of the schedule.

9. Trigg County (10-6) – The Wildcats have won four of the five played in 2018, and they had a chance to win the other one.

10. Caldwell County (8-10) – Much like Webster County, the Tigers are a team trying to regain their footing after dropping three of their last four contests.

11. Union County (8-11) – The Braves gave Henderson all they wanted but came up just short. They ended a seven game losing streak with a win over Crittenden County.

12. Lyon County (3-12) – Tough losses to Livingston Central and Madisonville over the past week, not a formula to make a move up in the rankings.

13. Crittenden County (4-12) – Losses to Caldwell County and Union County give the Rockets a three game losing streak.

14. Dawson Springs (4-12) – Got an All A win on the road at Fort Campbell. That win keeps them out of the bottom slot this week.

15. Fort Campbell (2-11) – The Falcons have not won a game in 2018. They continue to try and find the right combination.
