Lyon County’s Lady Lyons open play in the All-A Classic State Tournament Wednesday in Richmond. The team was given a sendoff by the school Tuesday afternoon following a pep rally.
Lady Lyon Coach Jeff Doom said the school has sold their allotment of advanced tickets and will be taking three pep buses to Richmond Wednesday. The coach hive-fived every player as they boarded the bus to make the trip to Richmond.
It will be the third trip to the All-A Classic State Tournament for Lyon County and first since 2007 when they advanced to the semifinals.
Lyon County (12-5) plays 13th Region champion Williamsburg (13-7) at 1pm (ET) Wednesday.
