
First place in the Eighth District is on the line tonight at Blazer Gym as University Heights hosts Christian County at 7:30.
Christian County (10-5) is the top ranked team is the YourSportsEdge.com Second Region Rankings, while UHA (10-4) is No. 2. The Colonels opened district play with an 86-44 win over Fort Campbell Saturday, while UHA already owns district wins over Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell.
The game features two of the top three scorers in the state in Christian County’s Detorrion Ware (30.4) and UHA’s Kyky Tandy (32.8). The Colonels average 75.1 points on offense, while the Blazers score 76.5 points.
The teams split their regular season matchups last year with the Colonels winning the rematch in the district tournament 87-73.
The Lady Colonels and Lady Blazers will tip at 6pm with the boys’ game to follow.
