Gavin Fowler scored a season-high 34 points, but it wasn’t enough as Heritage Christian Academy fell to Somerset Christian 76-61 at Warrior Gym. The loss dropped HCA to 0-3 in conference play.
Fowler scored 16 points in the third quarter as HCA put 27 points on the board in the frame. Somerset, ranked No. 6 in this week’s KCAA Poll, used a 25-13 second quarter run to take control of the game.
Dakota Brake scored a season-high 14 points for the Warriors, who entered the week ranked No. 10 in the KCAA Poll.
Mason Cunnagin led Somerset with 28 points.
HCA won’t return home again until a Jan. 19 conference game with Bethel Christian.
