The holiday period will be a busy time for the Christian County Colonels, with a holiday event before Christmas and one after. The Colonels will be in Webster County beginning Thursday, and then will head out to Poplar Bluff, Missouri after Christmas for the Poplar Bluff Showdown.
At the Baptist Health and Sports Rehab Holiday Classic, the Colonels begin play Thursday evening against Louisville Western at 5:00pm. The Warriors enter the tournament at 1-7, with their only win coming over Louisville Atherton.
The Colonels will take on the host Webster County Trojans Friday evening at 6:30pm. The Trojans come into the event at 6-2. However, Webster County was upset Monday night on their home court by Livingston Central 67-63.
On Saturday, Christian County will take on the Todd County Central Rebels in the final game of the classic, at 1:00pm. The Rebels enter the event with a record of 5-2, but have lost their last two contests.
After Christmas, the Colonels begin play in the 3-day showdown at Poplar Bluff taking on Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The Colonels enter the holiday period with a record of 5-1. Their only loss came on the road at Owensboro.
