The Caldwell County Lady Tigers continued their recent hot streak by picking up their 6th straight win, cruising past Fort Campbell 46-6 Monday night at the CAB. The Lady Tigers held the Lady Falcons scoreless into the second half as the struggling Falcon offense had trouble finding the basket.
Caldwell County opened the game in a 2-3 zone, and used no pressure throughout the game. Coach Malissa Thomas used platoon substitutions, approximately every four minutes through the game. The Lady Tigers would lead 18-0 after one quarter, and take a 29-0 lead into the locker room at the half.
The lead would reach 33-0 before Jordan Wilson made a free throw for the Lady Falcons first point of the game at 3:53 to go in the 3rd quarter. Caldwell County would lead 37-1 at the end of the quarter. Wilson would score the Falcons first field goal with 5:26 to go in the game.
For Caldwell County, all ten players that played in the game scored. They were led by Peyton Young with 11 points and Morgan McDaniels with 7. Jordan Wilson scored all six points for the Lady Falcons.
With the win, Caldwell County improves to 6-2 on the season, while Fort Campbell falls to 0-9.
