Livingston Central used a 23-2 run to take control of their game with Trigg County and post a 51-22 win over the Lady Wildcats Friday in Smithland. The win moved the Lady Cardinals into a first place tie with Crittenden County atop the standings with a 2-0 record.
Trigg County led 5-4 after one quarter but missed 37 of their next 42 shots over the final three quarters that saw Livingston extend their lead.
The Lady Wildcats trailed 26-16 with 1:46 left in the first half when Livingston ran off 23 of the next 25 points in the game. Trigg finished the game shooting 7-of-51 for 13-percent, and Livingston scored 19 points off 14 Trigg turnovers.
Rylee Bush led Trigg County with eight points and six rebounds. Lauren Oliver added six point and 10 rebounds, and Adri Phillips had six points and eight rebounds.
Tabby Padon had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Livingston Central (3-3, 2-0), who also got double-digit scoring games from Hailey Stafford (12 points) and Lauren Wring (10 points).
Trigg County (2-4, 0-2) returns to action Tuesday when they host Lyon County at Wildcat Gym.
