After leading Christian County to their first unbeaten regular season in school history, Colonel head coach Steve Lovelace was named the Western Kentucky Conference coach of the year. The award covers all six classes of football.
Lovelace just wrapped up his 11th season as head coach of Christian County where he has led the Colonels to a 95-44 record and two appearances in the Class 5A state championship game.
Lovelace was not able to attend the banquet because he is assisting David Barnes on the coaching staff of the Kentucky team in the Best of the Bluegrass All-Star Football Game this Sunday in Elizabethtown.
