
A tough night Thursday for the basketball teams from Fort Campbell High School. The Fort Campbell boys’ basketball team kicked off its season with a trip to Clarksville Northwest as part of a boy/girl doubleheader, trailing 43-39 at the half before falling 90-71. The Falcons were led by sophomore Jordan Clark with 23 points, while junior Cameron Johnson chipped in 12. Julian Roberts had 9, and senior Austin Mergele scored 8.
The Falcons go on the road again on Friday, travelling to Morganfield to face the Union County Braves. The Braves opened the season with a 80-32 win over Christian Fellowship.
The Lady Falcons lost their second game of the season, with Northwest winning 77-3. The Lady Falcons are back in action at University Heights on Saturday. The Lady Blazers lost their season opener 66-26 at Paducah Tilghman.
