Trigg County pitcher Jake Terrell has committed to play baseball at Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin, TN.
Terrell emerged as the Wildcats’ top pitcher in 2017, posting a 2-0 record with one save and a 1.50 ERA. The right-hander struck out 61 in 37 innings and walked just nine batters. Terrell is expected to anchor a Trigg County pitching staff in 2018 that returns seven wins and 157 of the 208 strikeouts posted in 2017.
Vol State went 29-20 last year and win two games in the National Junior College Association Region VII Tournament. The Pioneers had no players from Kentucky on their roster last year.
