Several University Heights Academy cross country runners were named to the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Area Team as voted on by the coaches.
Muki Kunnmann was named the Area 1 Class 1A Runner of the Year and was also named to the All-Area First Team that encompasses all three classes. Kunnmann won the Class 1A region title for a third consecutive year and finished 10th at the 1A State Meet in Lexington.
In addition to Kunnmann, UHA eighth grader Piper Hancock was named to the 1A All-Area First Team. Interestingly, Hancock was named to the Second Team All-Area Middle School Team.
Blazer freshman Tomas Duncan was named to both the All-Area First Team and All-Area 1A Team. Duncan won the Class 1A Region Meet and finished 15th at the state meet.
