University Heights Academy senior Alli Cundiff has committed to play two sports at Rhodes College in Memphis. Cundiff announced on her Twitter account Tuesday that she plans to play soccer and run track at Rhodes, an NCAA Division III school.
Cundiff was an All-Region soccer player at UHA and was named All-State honorable mention after scoring 20 goals and assisting on nine others in addition to being one of the team’s top spot up defenders. She scored 33 goals and handed out 19 assists as a junior and finished with 65 goals and 34 assists over her final three years in high school.
On the track as a junior, Cundiff finished third in the 300-meter hurdles and fourth in the 100-meter hurdles at the Class 1A State Meet. She was also part of the 800-meter relay team that also finished fourth at the state meet.
Rhodes is a liberal arts college with an enrollment of 2,000 which also serves as the alma mater of Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and actress Dixie Carter.
