
A solid effort from the Caldwell County Tigers Tuesday night, as they won 3 of the 5 quarters played in the varsity scrimmage against Ballard Memorial at the CAB at Caldwell County High School. The Tigers were especially impressive in the first two quarters of the scrimmage, where they outscored the Bombers 37-12.
Caldwell County used a 10-0 run to take the first quarter 18-6. In the second quarter, the Tigers finished on a 7-0 run to win 19-6.
Ballard Memorial opened the third quarter on an 8-0 run and then held on to take the quarter 17-15. Caldwell County had another strong period in the 4th quarter, outscoring the Bombers 20-12. For the first four quarters, Caldwell County easily handled Ballard Memorial 72-41.
The varsity squads played one additional quarter, and it appeared that fatigue began to set in with Caldwell County, as Ballard Memorial used a 10-0 run to key them to a 21-9 advantage.
For the five quarters, Caldwell County was led by Derrin Boyd with 23 points. John Davis added 18. Cayden Fraliex chipped in with 15, while Adarius Riley had 13.
